22oz bottle. Pours a beautiful deep reddish copper color. Tall off-white frothy head. Perfect lace. Aroma has a touch of wooded earthiness. Nice hop floral. Aroma is mostly malt, nice Vienna and a touch of caramel. Toasted malt sweetness. Flavor is very mild. A bit of the sweeter side. Lots of toasted cereal flavor. I have yet to be disappointed by this brewery. Lingering flavor of a malt nuttiness. Lots of Munich malt character, not too musty, earthy, bready, sweet. Finishes with the slightest bit of wood flavor. Sticky texture, medium bodied. Full flavored.

Not sure how the name reflects firefighting but still a really good beer.

I would like to rerate this beer.

Pours a dark golden ruby/coppery amber color with a .5 finger off white head that quickly dissipates into a lasting ring. Roasted malt aroma with a lot of autumnal spice. Toasty caramel, biscuit malt that has a slight nut character. Hints of cinnamon and brown sugar. Crisp medium body with lots of toasty malt, autumnal spice, sweet fruit and subtle hops. Lots of sweet caramel malt with a good amount of roasted toasty flavor along with spicy cinnamon and brown sugar. Slight biscuit presence and nice crisp dry hops in the finish. Very nice balance of sweet and roasted notes and the ABV is completely undetectable. The spiciness is pretty prominent with some subtle vanilla and clove to go along with the cinnamon/brown sugar notes. Nice interpretation of the style.

Bottle/22 - Pours a pretty dark ruby amber in color with a small off-white head that faded to a thin rim around the beer, Aroma is of bready yeasts and lots of caramel maltiness. Flavor has a big malty hit with bready yeasts and some hop spiciness. Slightly bitter from the middle to the end. Nice palate. A good one... I hear that Pennichuck may be closing... too bad... will miss their beer!

Feels like fall so I had to grab this one today. Poured this one into a large Nonic it produced a two finger white head that lasts and follows the brew down the glass. The body of the beer is a clear ruby red in color There are Great aromas of sweet caramel malts along with a great breadiness. As it warms you get a slight fruitiness as well in the aroma. The flavors of sweat grains and bread filed my mouth there is also a little bit of alcohol burn as it warms. The brew had a great feel in my mouth with ample carbonation. An easy to drink brew one of the better of the style I have had. I will defiantly grab more of this brew

Dark brown/copper pour with a pretty big eggshell white head. Aroma is malty some some vegetable notes. Medium-bodied with a nice, crisp flavor. Toasty, nutty with some caramel and woodsy flavors on the back end. Pretty rich and flavorful for an ofest. Nice brew!

On tap at the Barley. Deep Orange pour with a slight offwhite head. Aroma is toasty malts and some caramel, Flavor is sweet caramel but also tangy and reminiscent of wet pine cones, A really nice slight roast on the malt. Really excellent octoberfest, makes me think of wet leaves and autumn. Stylistically the best Pennichuck I’ve had. Not just another dull Octoberfest, something stand out.

Excellent Oktoberfest. Very full and rich body with a surprisingly complex finish. Keep telling yourself this is just a lager. Perhaps a touch of flatness in the finish, such as pelletized hops? Overall, still very good.
