Pours deep dark brown with off-white head. Roasty and malty aroma. Good balance of hops. Chocolate and caramel notes. Roasty. Finish is chocolatety. When I was first looking at my sampler, I thought this was going to be a brown ale or something of the sort, then my friend points out it’s the porter. It’s clear amber in color with reddish hues. Aroma was caramel with a touch of chocolate and toasted malt. Taste was pretty much the same, with some light notes of butter and vanilla. Thin bodied. Roasty and malty hoppy aroma. Roasty and malty hoppy flavor. Chocolate and caramel notes. Roasty. Chewey. Finish is chocolatety. Very nice. Drinkable.
