Commercial Description:
One of the most popular beers we brew; this is our version of a traditional brown ale. A truly tasty beer, Farmer Brown is low in bitterness with a smooth and malty finish. Like its namesake, it’s outstanding in it’s field!

Reddish brown ale with a thin white head. Light sweet malt aroma, and sweetish malt in mouth, with nutty notes. A bit cloying for a brown, and light bodied. On tap at brewery , Feb. 10, 2006.

Bottle, from Ryan & Casey’s. Ok nose. Sweet. Little yeast at first, but that disappeared quick. Nutty, caramel, Milk chocolate. Tad hazy reddish brown color. Small head, minor lacing. Sweet malty flavor. Like aroma, Nutty chocolate. Medium body, creamy lite mouthfeel, Sweet malty finish. easy to drink brown. Seems to hit al the right marks for a brown, maybe I’m not a brown ale person

Not too nutty, nor sourish, as many browns can be. Earthy and delightful with just a hint of brown sugar and smoke, this is quaffable in the extreme. Nice creamy ring head lasts and really adds to the palate. Shared with my father in law in swelteringheat in Hatfield, MA.

Dark brown beer with a head the completely dissapates. Somewhat smokey aroma. Roasted characteristics that remind me of a muted stout.
