Peoples Pint Oatmeal Stout

Bottle. Dark black beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is quite sour. Unpleasantly metallic with a touch of sour coffee in the background. The flavour is also sour with a bit of chalky charry flavour. Utterly undrinkable.

Pours dark with a head that dies quick. Aroma is roasted malt, some acid, and nuts. Body is thin, carbonation is mild, mouthfeel is oily. Taste is somewhat sweet yet acidic. Where’s the depth to this brew? "Robust Flavor",,,hardly. The acidic flavor cleanses away leaving a slightly oat finish. All in all not impressed with this one.

090510-on tap-pours a retaining big light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-licorice/chocolate. As it warms, molasses. Taste is dark malt-molasses/chocolate/ashy, creamy/oat, some earthy hops. Aroma is very sweet clashing with earthy, rubbery, chocolate/molasses/ashy-dark malt, acidic. As it warms it doesn’t clash. Taste is ashy/coffee-dark malt, acidic/earthy/bitter hops, some alcohol, powdery/gritty mouth feel. Based on having at cellar temperature. 3.1

(22oz bottle) Pours an opaque black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, oatmeal, dark chocolate, and some dark fruit. Flavor of sour grain, dark fruit, vinous,chocolate, and vinegar.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The smell is dried fruits, wine, plum, malts, and oatmeal. The look is brown to black, decent beige colored head. The taste is vinegar, tart, acidic, malts, and oatmeal. Weird stout.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Black pour with a nice khaki head. Nose of chocolate and oats. Not bad on the palate with a huge sweet chocolate flavor and an oatty finish.

bottle thanks again to bu11zeye. poured black with a tan head that laces. aroma was just straight up cantelope. flavor was a tart cherry and other fruity notes. light body and high carbonation. strange for style but decent.
