JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA May 30, 2009 22 oz bomber. Deep amber beer with a thick white head. Aroma is lightly sweet with a distinct yeasty/autolytic note. There is a bit of light citrusy cascade hoppiness but it’s overwhelmed by oxidized malt and autolyzed yeast. Light herbal hoppiness but it is quite a poor beer. These guys need to learn how to bottle, because it’s clear they’re doing something very wrong. Every beer I’ve had out of the bottle shows some oxidation and quality control issues. MartinT (5030), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 25, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Orangey and resinous hops develop plenty of bitterness for the relaxed caramel malts to cuddle with in this substantial India Pale Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the hazy amber.
-The body is round and the carbonation rather low, making for a nourishing mouthfeel.
-Everything you expect from an American IPA is there: aroma, flavor, body, finish and drinkability.
-I guess the freshness of the tap experience serves this beer well compared to those ratings which come from a bottle.

22oz bottle-English, herbal. Bottling issue? 3.2 hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 16, 2008 22oz bottle shared courtesy of zrrbrrt. Poured a medium amberish color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of earthiness, floral, some cardboard, and citrus. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and earthy. Probably an older bottle (send me a fresh one!). egajdzis (3602), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 16, 2008 Poured a clear copper color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of light pine, floral hops, citrus fruits, some oxidation, and a bit of caramel. Taste of pine, sweet caramel, citrus fruits, some tobacco, and a bit of cardboard. A little old, but seems like it could be a bit underrated here. Thanks Josh! TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 15, 2008 Thanks to Josh for sharing this one. Pours a lightly hazy golden orange with a large bubbly/foamy off white head. Aroma was very floral, some soapy notes, tangerines, pine, cat piss and some caramel. Flavor of pine, figs, bready notes, caramel, citrus, light hop bitterness, earthy notes and orange. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Sep 19, 2007 Bottle: Pours a clear amber orange with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet caramely malt and a touch of orangey citrus hops. Body starts somewhat sugary with light caramel maltiness and a decent bittering and flavor hoppy presence. Could be a little more assertive and balanced, but otherwise a decent IPA. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 15, 2007 This is light orange,m on-tap at the brewpub. Light orange, there is lots of lace yet its watery. The bitterness of cascade is there, but does not come through boldly. Some stickly malt. Like an IPA of yore,
