| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 3, 2006 22 oz bottle from Spirit Haus in Amherst, MA (September 2006) consumed a bit above fridge temperature from the all-purpose Unibroue glass. Deep, mostly clear translucent copper, a bit bubbly, with a smallish, stable off-white head....strong, complex fruity nose, sour cherry pits showing up amidst a dominant tart apple/grapefruit backdrop, light caramelization, very sweet and inviting with graham crackers wafting in, no acidic sharpness despite the citrus....palate quite mild, a bit too much so, sweet and lightly syrupy, some nice citric hops do show up to cut the sugars just enough, but it’s never really bitter, the caramel and light spicing not really changing the fact that this is closer to an APA really. It’s nice, but no hophead’s treasure certainly. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 6, 2005 Bottle purchased from Spirit Haus in Amherst, MA. Aroma is citrus-grapefruit like. I smell a bit acidity and sourness in the nose. There is almost some pepperiness as well. Not what I come to expect in an IPA aroma. Hazy copper-amber color with sediment particles. Off-white head. Starts carbonated with a touch of hops. Mildly bitter roasted toasty dry finish. Cereal-like in the end. Hrmmm...theres not much hoppiness here. Pretty subdued English-Style IPA. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA
