Quite sweet in the mouth. Plenty of hop in the flavour, but I didn’t find this all that exciting. I also thought the somewhat sticky mouthfeel detracted from the finish - as the hopiness is fat and juicy, rather than sharp and crisp, it didn’t have enough guts to cut through the sweetness very effectively. Still quite a pleasant drop though. My notes say 5.3%, but that may just be the handwriting. Cask, GBBF 2004

I found this a typical APA after a sample at GBBF, and scored it 2.9 - I bright bottled some and brought it home. It’s a pleasant and attractive APA. Juicy citric notes, good sweetness, full oily body. Not a great beer, but very enjoyable. Nice. [3.2]
Aug, 2005. Gravity @ GBBF. Nasty cardboardy flavours. Not good. [1.1]
