Commercial Description:
Our original pale ale with a light caramel color and a nice blend of malt (sweetness) and hops without a lot of bitterness. Also good as a Shandy.

Cask at GBBF Dark amber. Good hoppy nose, dry herby finish, quite like this without it being outstanding. Some orangey fruit

[Cask at GBBF 2004] An orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of oranges and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of oranges and loads of hops giving it a dry end.

Cask, GBBF 2004. Deep amber, no head and low condition. Gentle citrusy grapefruit hop aromas, Zesty sweet grapefruit in the mouth and a lingering sweet caramel and citric finish with a lingering hop bitterness.

Great name for a brewery. Copper colour. Characteristic sweet resinous hop aroma. Quite sweet in the mouth. Plenty of hop in the flavour, but I didn’t find this all that exciting. I also thought the somewhat sticky mouthfeel detracted from the finish - as the hopiness is fat and juicy, rather than sharp and crisp, it didn’t have enough guts to cut through the sweetness very effectively. Still quite a pleasant drop though. My notes say 5.3%, but that may just be the handwriting. Cask, GBBF 2004

Cask@GBBF04’. Slightly cosmetic nose (some sort of nail polish or something in there). Quite syruppy and sticky. Hoppy, resiny finish, slightly bitter.

[Cask conditioned] A very exotic ale. Very hoppy with notes of pineapple and mango. There is a nice bitter bite in the finish.

Aug, 2004. Gravity @ GBBF. I found this a typical APA after a sample at GBBF, and scored it 2.9 - I bright bottled some and brought it home. It’s a pleasant and attractive APA. Juicy citric notes, good sweetness, full oily body. Not a great beer, but very enjoyable. Nice. [3.2]
Aug, 2005. Gravity @ GBBF. Nasty cardboardy flavours. Not good. [1.1]
