Hopistotle420 (1178), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Nov 14, 2005 22 oz bottle: Pours a hazy pale yellow golden hue. Small white head. Sweet cany nose, honey, banana, perfumey, floral, citric lemon. Light palate, roaring carbonation. Honey dominates palate, sweet, and unbalanced. Peach, apricot, grain, mostly bland. CLean finish, cereal and blah. Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Sep 28, 2005 Bottled. Pours a cloudy yellowish color like a good German hefeweizen. Smells of bananas, honey, wheat, and lemons. Tastes of coriander, bananas, and lemons with a sweet aftertaste. Unfortunately, the nice honey aroma detected on the nose was overwhelmed by the other flavors on the tasting, but its presence was definitely felt both on the palate and the finish, making it a nice compliment to the other tastes present in this one. Refreshing lemony finish with no pronounced bitterness. A cross between a honey beer, witte and hefeweizen. Excellent!!! I’m glad I have a few more bombers of this one. mkobes (2103), paramus, New Jersey, USA Sep 5, 2005 Bottle from brewpub. Pale yellow in color with a nice white head. Fruity candi sugar like aroma.
