| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 17, 2008 Cask. At Volo Cask Days 2008. Hazy deep reddish borwn pour with an average off-white had. Dry roast aroma, quite nutty, slightly herbal, quite strong iodine sharpness. Taste followed, only moreso - roast malt and a somewhat ’’Islay’’ seaweed/peat character: I liked it. Astringent and oily mouthfeel, light-bodied, left a dry iodine coating on my tongue: in the final analysis, perhaps a tad too much iodine. blankboy (3214), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma of caramel malt, a hint of smoke or peat, dark fruit and some light hops. Malty flavour along with light hops and some fruit -- it’s simple but good, tastes better then I expected. Average bodied. A good Mild. matt7215 (980), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
