Commercial Description:
Basement Batch is is a traditional American-style Pale Ale. Much like our infamouse award-winning choc beer, it's handcrafted with only the finest ingredients. Starting with a base of American-grown 2-row malted barley we add liberal amounts of caramel and Victory malts to give Basement Batch a rich, almost nutty, malt backbone to complement the unique citrus character Cascade hops, which are the gold standard for this style. Like all of our choc beers, Basment Batch is "bottle conditioned," which means that it's fermented a second time while in the bottle. This long-established method of carbonating beer will leave a thin layer of yeast on the bottom of the bottle. So, pour slowly and carefully to maintain clarity, and enjoy!

Cooper color pour with 3 finger head which left good lacing througout. aroma - didnt pick up too much here, got a faint smell of earthy hops. taste..eh..just okay, not real balanced for a Pale Ale, a little to much hop bitterness, In my opinion. Just felt like it was missing something, it had just a touch of sweetness, but it wasnt balanced enough for me. Overall this was just okay, but as a Pale Ale, I was a bit dissapointed. I dont think I would drink more than one of these at a time. SNPA is much superior to this one.

Pours a translucent copper orange with a one finger foamy head. Nice looking. The nose shows a nice hop presence, fresh earthy herbal hops, a little bit of pine, some background sweetness. The flavor shows more of the malt, has an English feel, bready, some hop bitterness, piney and waxy, some problems in the flavor. palate has a nice bitterness but has more of a waxy character than I would like.

12oz bottle from ericandersnavy. This is my first OK rating. Pours orange with a bright white head. Nose is sweet and lightly hopped. Taste is sweet and somewhat bitter with a decent balance of hops and malts. Doesn’t quite hit the mark but it isn’t terrible.

I was quite impressed with this pale ale. Aroma is nicely balanced between notes of citrus and caramel malts. Flavor is citrus initially, with a nice nutty, biscuit backbone. Finish is smooth and dry, with mild bitterness. For the flavor, abv and price, you can’t get a better deal than this.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a brilliant amber color with no head. Nose is catty, and pine. Taste is bitter and awkward with a medium finish.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a clear orange body and a small, off-white head. aroma of orangy hops and caramel. Taste is hoppy with caramel and a very clean, not bitter finish. Fizzy and dry mouthfeel.

Dark honey with a thin ring of bubbles and a patch film of bubbles. Taste-medium to high bitter, light rawness, no sweetness, not bad, not offensive, just boring.
