Commercial Description:
Here at choc Beer Company we have a passion for wheat brews, specifically unfiltered wheat ale. When we set out to make Last Laugh we wanted to incorporate not only the great things we enjoy about our own unfiltered wheats but also those that we’ve enjoyed from other great brewers all into one. What a stroke of luck when one of our brewers, Trae Reese, came in one day with a beer he had been working on in his garage. We start with 2-row malted barley; to that we add malted and unmalted red wheat, a gentle hopping of American Cascade and Centennial hops finished with the distinctive flavor and aroma of Indian coriander. I think you will agree Last Laugh will stand up to the traditions of wheat brews from around the world. Prost!

12 oz bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Thanks Eric. Pours a slightly cloudy gold color with a small white head that soon fades to a fine film. The aroma is light with a tiny bit of citrus, some honey and spice. The flavor is dominated by coriander with a bit of supporting lemon drop and a subtle nutty flavor. The mouthfeel was thin and almost watery. The finish was short and dry. Overall: A very sessionable wheat, very tasty but it needs more body.

Bottle thanks to soonah. Pours is a syrupy looking dull gold color. Getting a lot of spice, a bit of honey, and some citrus notes in the aroma. Well carbonated. Flavor is citrus again with a good body. Lots of wheaty malt body here. The finish is a little pungent and slightly off but I’m not kicking this away because of it. All in all a decent drink but nothing memorable going on here. That is more a comment on the style than the brewer or quality of this drink.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pour is the oddest looking beer to date for me; opaque but a mixture of cola and pineapple juice. Nose is spices and complex yeast. Not sure what to think of this one, but I did enjoy it.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours an expected hazy off-white with medium white head. Aroma very mild of wheat, coriander, and slight citrus. Flavor matches well and is refreshing, but just nothing special.

On the same flight as the Marshall Sundown, this is a vastly superior wheat ale. Fruity, with some lemon drop., and a nice spiced ending.

12oz bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Pours a hazy golden yellow color with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of banana, light citrus, wheat, yeast, and some hints of honey. Flavor is sweet and malty as well with notes of banana, wheat, slight spice and honey. Generally thin body with a quick, favorless finish. Not awful but certainly not transcendent.
