Commercial Description:
The Italian immigrants came to Krebs to work in the coal mines that were prevalent in the area at the turn of the century. They wore a light on their hat to show the way through the mines; at the end of the day their "miners light" led the way to a nice, tall, cold beer. A traditional American style beer - dry, light bodied, yet full flavored with a touch of hop finesse, we present Miners Light beer to reflect the tradition of full flavor and sparkling golden brilliance that was so popular with the miners of early day Krebs.

Pours clear with thin head that quickly vanishes. Nose is faint musty cornhusks and the slightest taint of skunk. Flavor is almost absent save for continued musty grains and mild astringency. Very thin mouthfeel and no bitterness or aftertaste. Not good.

Clear, pale yellow coloration, short-lived head is gone in a flash, nothing to report on... Aroma also is largely absent, aside from a corny, vegetal smell...not too pleasant. Taste: Innocuous. Wetness is the most solid attribute, but this possesses nothing resembling flavor. slides down the throat with the effortless of aqua, but leaves nothing tasty on the way. A glimmer of grain greets the palate at first, but it fades into oblivion. Mouthfeel: not much of any. This would work for those who find Coors Light an acme of acheivement among beers. Anyone wanting more should search in other bottles, and leave this one be.

It is a very light beer, easily drinkable infact without noticing I drank a six pack in just over an hour, it goes down like water because it nearly is. It does have a slight citrus orange finish to it.

Sampled from bottle. This light lager pours clear dark gold with a thin white head. Aroma is quite bold for the style. Its malty aroma is quite pleasant compared to a BMC product. Well-balanced flavor with a floral hop presence. The yeast imparts a bit of character not typical for the style. Medium-light body and well carbonated. Good for a light lager, but not a beer that I enjoy often becasue I dislike the style.

This is a "safe" beer for Okies who usually only buy grocery store brands. Pete’s Place is an excellent restaurant and its Choc beer is worth a try, but Miner’s Light is nothing special.

Same appearance as the peach beer: straw light yellow, BMC-like, and getting pretty close to crystal clear. Has pretty much no aroma or flavor for the most part, until a finish full of grainy corn and fuel on the back of the throat. The rest is flavorless and fizzy.

Aroma: absolutely no aroma, I’ve had water that had more smells than this
Appearance: very light yellow, incredibly small, white head
Flavor: like water with slight nutty, corny aftertaste
Palate: incredibly thin and watery, nutty, corny aftertaste with a tinge of bubblegum mixed in
Overall: just flavorless, reminds me of Miller Lite 3.2%

Draught, GABF 2003. Body is light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, cereal), with a note of DMS. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly bitter, unclean. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Striving for greatness this is not.
