Commercial Description:
One of the most interesting styles of beer in the world must be the Belgian White or Wit beer. White beers like waving wheatare part of the world's large family of rustic, unfiltered wheat beers (our infamous choc beer being one of them). The suspended yeast and wheat proteins give white beers their unique hazy, white appearance. Its elusive flavors are complex, and it seems that with every sip another can and will reveal itself - the wheat, the Belgian yeast, the delicate blend of spices, and of course the citrus bitterness of the Curacao orange peel. Here at choc Beer Company, we happen to hold unfiltered wheat beers in very high regard, and when the time came to brew another, the crisp, refreshing white beer was the unanimous choice of the brewery staff. We hope you enjoy our efforts.

Bottle, much thanks to Soonah. Pours cloudy gold with attractive white head. The aroma is mandarin orange, a little bit of coriander, some overt yeastiness, and some peppery spice. The flavor is sweet like a very mild honey with an almost floral tinge to it. There’s a yeasty breadiness in there with a little bit of orange (though not as much as comes across in the nose). Finish is light and doesn’t stay for long. Refreshing, but not amazing.

Clear dark golden with a small white head. Tart wheat aroma with dry spice and burnt rubber. Light carbonation with a smooth mouthfeel. Nice citrusy orange flavors with dry spice and tart wheat. No off flavors, not that bad.

Bottle courtesy of Soonah – thanks John! Pours cloudy yellow with a one finger fizzy white head. The nose is sweet wheat and lemon zest. The taste is spicy yeast, fresh wheat and citrus in the finish. Medium creamy mouthfeel. Decent wit – very refreshing.

Appearance: Pours a lightly hazy, pale yellow body with a thin, wispy, white head. Smell: Meager aroma smelling lightly of wheat and lemon with a faint perceived note of spice. Taste: Delicate, soft wheat flavor with only a marginal touch of sweetness. Squirt of acidic lemon juice. A few unconventional drops of coconut milk. Skimpy spice addition. Faint hop bitterness. Lightly tart on the crisp finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Drinkability: It’s more of a Wavering Wheat if you ask me. In terms of the noble witbier style, Waving Wheat underperforms in terms of aroma and overall flavor. However, if you ever find yourself waking up one morning hungry for a comparatively light, chuggable wit, then, I guess this is the beer for you.

Good brew, as witbiers go. Aroma is spicy, with hints of clove and coriander, as well as orange peal, wheat and yeast. Flavor is initially malty and yeasty, balanced by hints of clove, banana, and orange. Overall, quite a complex beer. Every bottle offers another spice or flavor.

Short 12oz twist-off bottle. Cloudy, golden yellow. White foamy head. Light aroma of clove, light orange zest, los of wheat. Flavor is of puffed wheat, sweet malt, acidic, fluffy carbonation. Medium bodied. A nice outdoor, summertime brew.
