Commercial Description:
One of the most interesting styles of beer in the world must be the Belgian White or Wit beer. White beers like waving wheatare part of the world's large family of rustic, unfiltered wheat beers (our infamous choc beer being one of them). The suspended yeast and wheat proteins give white beers their unique hazy, white appearance. Its elusive flavors are complex, and it seems that with every sip another can and will reveal itself - the wheat, the Belgian yeast, the delicate blend of spices, and of course the citrus bitterness of the Curacao orange peel. Here at choc Beer Company, we happen to hold unfiltered wheat beers in very high regard, and when the time came to brew another, the crisp, refreshing white beer was the unanimous choice of the brewery staff. We hope you enjoy our efforts.

Bottle courtesy of soonah. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Smells of rich malt, citrus, coriander, some hints of ginger and cloves. Tastes of ginger, bananas, coriander, lots of Belgian spices and residual sugar. This brewer’s newest beers are really impressing me.

This one poured out a dark orange with a tan pillowy head. The aroma and taste was of grainy wheat with an almost nutty/graham cracker sweetness. It went down easily and had a bit of lemon at the end. I could drink a lot of this.

(Bottle) Pours a hazy dark golden color with a good amount of white head and good lacing. Potent aroma of light fruits, some yeast, and a touch of spice. Flavor is quite smooth. The main notes I picked up were apricot, cinnamon and sweet wheat malts. Lesser amounts of bubblegum, clove and sweet cornbread as well. Better than average body and smooth, rolling carbonation. Personally, I thought this was a fantastic beer... and was different than many American-brewed Wits that I have tried. Certainly one worth trying.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very nice looking cloudy pale yellow with a frothy white head that enjoys lingering. Strong notes of coriander and orange with hints of wheat coming through. Nice orange flavor mixed with hints of coriander and some other flavor I can’t quite put my finger on. Very refreshing. Finishes very smooth. Pairs excellent with beer battered cod...fyi.

This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy dark yellow color with a medium sized yellow-white head that lingered. The aroma was dryish citrus, musty, yeasty and peppery. The flavor was spicy, peppery and had a crisp citrus note with chewy cardboard and yeastiness underneath. The finish was long, sweetish, tart and tangy citrus laced with pepper. Solid.

Thanks for the bottle, dansting! Lightly hazy medium gold body with a quickly dissapating white head. The aroma has notes of lemon bread with some sweet orange sherbert. There is also a little bit of the corriander. The taste is corriander with a little bit of orange peel. The finish is fairly dry and pleasantly like straw. This is a good wit.

Draught. Low white and quickly disappearing head. Hazy yellow body. Fruity lemon coriander aroma and flavor. Long aftertaste, especially of coriander.
