Bottle. 12 oz. Pours a clear, pretty amber with a nice, chalky white head. Aroma of barley, oats, raisins, and slight hint of scotch Medium bodied. Smooth, crisp moutfeel with a nice, easy finish. Decent brown ale.

12 oz bottle pours an amber brown with an aroma of malt, caramel, dark fruit and faint nuttiness. Taste is sweet, malty and fruity. Decent beer but not at the top of my favorite brown ales.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark, reddish brown with a minimal, off-white head. Tastes halfway between a red ale and a brown ale, however, there is an apparent corn taste that really keeps this from being a good beer. I knew I should have gone with Troeg’s.

a bit disappointing. Some nice nutty malt flavors and is nice and smooth. But the flavor profile is rather simple and not very ’wicked’

copper color, not much head, just off white bubbles, no lace. mostly air in the nose with some sweet malt tagging along. mild malt flavor but pretty watery overall and no trace of hops. medium bodied, clean finish. nothing to see here folks. move along. disappointing in its meekness. single bottle from binny’s orland park.

Medium brown pour, not a lot to smell, subtle malt flavors, aftertaste fades too quickly.

Rating 700. 12 oz. bottle served in my long forgotten stein- poured darkened brown with ruby tints, low carbonation, minimalistic white head bubbled off quickly. Aroma of a caramel malt, with notes of toasted nuts and hops. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is there but very mellow, hops- otherwise mostly unfound in browns, come splashing in the middle, finish is sweet from the malt and acidic at the same time from the hops- very different, but I like it. The second 6 pack of brew that I ever bought (that was in late 1997), and at the time I thought that it was good, but just too "spicy" at times. It’s still one that I enjoy after I these years, brings back memories of my wild youth, and it still has that "spice" to it.

poured out into a pint glass and the head quickly disapeared. the flavor is a little weak for me and reminds of a regular ol’ beer that i would drink at my local watering whole. i am not disappointed in it, i was just looking for more flavor, but could easily drink this beer all night long at like, say a party.
