a dark amber, almost ruby color with less than a finger of off-white head. A sweet aroma with little bit of earthy hop smell. A malty, herb taste that is on the low side in regards to carbonation & alcohol content. alright.

Nice deep copper color. Poured a decent head that dissipated almost completely. Aroma is minimum. Malty. Taste is modest malt, sweetness, and a hint of balancing hops. Ok body. Finishes clean. A good session beer. A great ’stepping stone’ beer for noobies. It worked for me! Brings back good memories from the ’90s.

12oz - A nice diversion every now and then, a stroll down memory lane. I like it in the Spring.

bottle poured a reddish amber in color with a one finger head melting back to a thin cover of white. aroma has malt, caramel, some sweetness, and very little hop aroma. mouth feel is medium light with light carbination. flavor is weak malt, light bitterness, and is well rounded just not overly exciting. i remember this being a much fuller beer but that was in the pre rating days. interesting how ones tastes change, a gate way beer if you will.

Aug. 2006 - Caramel brown. Light hoppy aroma. Tasted more like an amber ale than a brown ale, but that’s cool with me. Crisp and refreshing, if a little bit watery and thin. For the buck, not bad.

Bottle. Pours mahogany with a beige head. Sweet malt nose with hints of berry and hops. Thin/medium body. Flavor is sweet malt with some fruity notes and some caramel. A pretty good beer.
