Bottle. Poured with a thin white finger-width of head, nice nut brown color, hop aroma, although is taste is distinctly balanced between malt and hop until the finish, where the hop presence dominates.

Not much aroma. Lovely clear, but dark reddish brown color. Head is smallish and leaves a bit of lace. Flavor is a good balance of quality hops and malt, with more on the hops, but still not the most distinctive ale.

bottle - Pours amber with a one finger head and a caramel malt dominated aroma. The flavor is sweet caramel malt with a mild hops bite and lightly bitter finish. It’s on the thin side and is an ok session brew when better isn’t available.

Pours light brown woith sweet malt notes on the nose. The flavor shows a deeper sweeter malt with a finish that has some light hops citric notes.

i had this last night and i liked it better than newcastle, i haven’t tried many brown ales but this is one of the better beers ive tasted, very malty and kinda sweet, it has a very nice bitterness that just makes itself noticable, i liked it, alot

Bottle. Poured a red amber with a small off-white head. Aroma was highlighted by very sweet malts. Kind of bitter and nutty taste. The malts in the nose don’t come through in the flavor. The taste is also flat and not crisp. The palate was a definite let down--in maltier beers I usually have higher expectations. There’s are literally scores of better brown ales out there. I’ll stay away from this like I’m staying away from the Strawberry-Blonde.
