Bottle. Poured a red amber with a small off-white head. Aroma was highlighted by very sweet malts. Kind of bitter and nutty taste. The malts in the nose don’t come through in the flavor. The taste is also flat and not crisp. The palate was a definite let down--in maltier beers I usually have higher expectations. There’s are literally scores of better brown ales out there. I’ll stay away from this like I’m staying away from the Strawberry-Blonde.

Brown in color. Kind of burnt in flavor. Caramel and burnt caramel. Sweet and blah.

Nice redish colour when poured. has an interesting flavour. Not like a usual bbrown ale. almost like a burnt or spice taste.

Rated while drinking: Pours as promised: ruby-brown. See-through though. An OK off-white head sits on top. Above-average lacing as well. Sweet malts on the nose, with an almost "burnt" aroma. Like some sort of dessert is cooking in the oven. Malty taste backed up by some nuts. Decent, but kind of fails on what I thought the mouthfeel would be. Once again, it’s drinkable because it’s watery. Not too much substance in there. But tasty.

12oz brown bottle from Ron’s in Farmington. Pours a rich translucent copper color with beautiful ruby-red highlights but with very little head. Smells roasty, biscuity, and nutty with just the slightest hint of diacetyl. Tastes roasty sweet with a good dose of biscuit and suggestions of butter flavor, though the flavors are a bit more muted than expected. Finishes fairly clean. Medium mouthfeel with a good bit of carbonation. This a pretty solid tasty beer. I’m impressed.

Pours a very reddish color. Small acidic head that dissapates quickly. Mouthfeel is very medicinal and tastes somewhat like throat spray. Not very good and the finish and body are watery. Weak!

A deep amber-brown, an inviting color. Aroma is strongly malty with some alcohol nip. Flavor is surprisingly hoppy considering the aroma, not complex but very refreshing. It feels tingly and lively on the tongue and has an edgy bite to it.

33 cl bottle, Fargo. Off brown, amber colour, faint malt and pronounced hop aroma.Tastes slightly too caramel like, but certainly drinkable. Nice bitter finish.
