Tastes sweet with earthy and cirtus hop notes. There is also a slightly odd metallic taste. The finish is a little watered down. JohnnyJ (1339), Carlsbad, California, USA

About the lightest I would go for a beer to drink. If I am feeling like something other than my usual porter or stout this is what I get. Beerlando (2339), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Clear, light brownish-red color. No real head to speak of, just a small tan rim. No lacing either. The aroma is very toasty, with ample caramel malts as well as baked bread and some floral notes. Flavors included burnt caramel, sugar, flowers, and light herbal hops. Body was light and watery. Average brew at best. hogan873 (333), Joliet, Illinois, USA

Interesting, but nice aroma of caramel, berries, and malt. Palate is a bit light, but there is some good carbonation up front. A somewhat complex taste makes this a pretty good beer. Caramel sweetness and malt are tempered by a sour berry flavor. Finishes very smooth. A fine brew. Skyview (4057), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Murray’s in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a brown coppery amber brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a fine film, white ring and some light lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some dark berries, roasted nuts and some flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of caramel, red berries and some pears. Finish is slightly sweet, very light bitterness and a sweet roasted malt aftertaste. I remember traying Pete’s Wicked when Minnesota Brewing Company was making it during the early 1990s. Flavor is much different today than what I recall 15+ years ago when the bottles featured Pete’s favorite Bull Terrier, "Millie." Today’s is missing the sweet malt and bitterness I remembered back then. Sorry, the yesteryear’s Pete’s Wicked Ale was really "wicked" compared to today’s Wicked brew. tig397 (64), dearborn heights, Michigan, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 31, 2007 White head that looks nice at first, but goes away really fast, then leaves a pretty lacing. Reddish-brown color which is brown, but not as brown as other brown ales. Fruity sweet, caramel smell. Light-bodied, with a little bit of hops in it. Not too malty. Not too flavorful, but really smooth. Caramel finish ontop of that without too much aftertaste.
