Poured to a bright amber, with medium off-white head and okay lacing. Aroma was somewhat malty, but mostly old dark fruit smell. Taste was hard to distinguish anything particular, and the finish was dry and stale. Not very impressed with this one. Blackbarrel (116), new york, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 20, 2007 Stacked against a field of mass market brewers, beds & miller etc, this would be the pick of the litter, but when you’ve just tasted 70 odd micro brews, its rather insipid. Nice color, red and frothy. Aroma is above average to. Flavor has florid hops, overall, way to watery. Nothing to hate, but nuthin special. rayg1 (445), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Yeah I have to say I was VERY dissapointed by this stuff. No pleasing aroma to speak of. Taste was kinda bland and slightly sweet with the hops struggling to make a difference worth a damn. Get SN Pale Ale instead. AR (437), Georgia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 12, 2007 A little color and a little flavor. An easy drinking beer that is nothing special. Could be good with a picnic or sharring with a bunch of ignorant friends. loseratheart (110), USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 5, 2007 Medium body, pretty smooth. Not bad for something so mass-produced. Seems this had some hops poking through, which was interesting. Been ignoring this one for the longest time, decent brew. chimpscampee (566), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2007 Profoundly mediocre in the same vein as a Samuel Adams, but still a couple notches up from the macro’s and this amber has a distinctive taste-- it is just weak. faroeviking (6126), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2007 The first Pete’s brew and still good. Amber colour. Aroma of malt and grains. Sweet caramel flavour, malty, little hoppiness. biznizness (952), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 25, 2006 Eh, bland, not impressive. Totally forgettable despite the description on the bottle. Wouldn’t really reach for this one unless it was the only option.
