| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 9, 2006 An average ale from a solid brewery (Matt). The flavors are kind of middle of the road. The malt overrides the hops which is no fun at all. Nothing really jumps at you. Not bad by any stretch of the imaginiation, but I don’t recommend it. aarossell (151), Grandville, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2006 Definitely a delicious brown ale with a bit of red color. This has a nice average balance of carbonation, maltiness, bitterness, roasted flavors, and a strong bitter flavor. Not bad at all, Pete’s. USCMustangman (41), Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2006 Bottle. Pours an amber brown with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of brown sugar and caramel. NIce flavor though it has a slight sour finish. Goes down pretty easy but with enough flavor to allow savoring. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 27, 2006 Pours a crystal clear ruby-brown (the label don’t lie!) with a quarter inch wispy ivory head. Head is persistent and leaves some very light lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, hint of some bitter hops.
Taste is dominated by caramel malt. Sweetish and finishes with some herbal tasting English style hops. It’s medium bodied. This ia a surprisingly good brown ale. Straight forward and true to style. Good brown in my book. Haven’t has this in close to 10 years but it holds up. shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2006 One of the better large brewery drinks I’ve had. Tastes of caramel and lightly roasted malts with a floral tinge hovering at the edges of consciousness. Pours a fine amber color with an not-unrespectable head. Slides across the tongue with admirable stealth. All in all, a fine brew for summer evenings or to complement a hot slice of pepperoni. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Clear amber color – white thin head – nose is very light malts , toffee , and yes a nutty quality – taste is nutty , malty , and caramel , however , has a sour / acidic edge in the taste ( it could be a bad bottle ) – thin to medium body – aftertaste sour and gummy with citrus and slight hopps WeeHeavySD (3041), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 14, 2006 Bottle. Pours dark amber kinda brown with a head that soon disappears. Scent is light and malty. The taste is what you would expect from a brown. Its mild slightly malty and drinkable. It is a fine overall beer it is isn’t amazing but its not bad.
