Bottle. Reddish brown pour with a large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Light toasted malt aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Moderate sweet malty flavor with a short finish. Below average, but drinkable.

Nice brown color with an small off-white head that disspates quite quickly. Nose has hints of malt. Pretty flavorless for a brown.

Wow. Talk about selling out! Who in their right mind would allow the people who make Utica Club anywhere near their recipe? It’s been a while since I had this, and I was unaware of this turn of events and I suspect the quality has been severely compromised. Good luck with that.

Bottle - nice orange/amber body with a beige head. Malt and spice in the aroma. Flavor is malty with maybe a touch of rye. Not a great beer, but better than I remember it being.

Pour hazy dark copper with not much head to speak of. Aroma was musty roasted malts with hints of nuts and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a bit of musty cobweb feel. Flavor was of toasted caramel malt with traces of fruit. Shortly after a roasted grain taste starts coming out more. The finish has some mellow hops, but the main aspect is the roasty flavors. An enjoyable session beer.

Dark amber color. A common Ale, with a caramel and honey touch. Very simple.

Bottle my mom brought to me from Wis. Aroma was bland malt. Body had a deep amber body with good head that diminished rather quick. Looked more like cough syrup half way. Flavor was real bland and watery at first. Malt texture in the middle of beer till the end uped this rating for me. Interesting berw to say the least.

this was another classic that got me going on good beer many moons ago. remember when pete won the homebrewer recipe to get his beer actually brewed. that was when it was good. then it was sold, and the recipe went to shit and people used to bring over the horrible strawberry blonde shit that was anything but good. back in the day petes was a solid brown with all the dressings. i think pete is into chocolate now.
