Decent ale. Good combination and hops and caramel malt with little at the finish.

A fairly average beer, nothing all that special. Drinkable, but I don’t see how it’s "wicked."

I remember drinking these many years ago when they were not so readily available and really enjoying them. Something has changed since then. A recent taste found nothing to get exceited about. It’s OK but not worth seeking out.

12oz bottle. Poured dark brownish red with a big dense light tan head that steadily shrinks to a foamy ring and leaves a little lace. The aroma is fairly good but simple, caramel and toast with a hint of flowery hops and pine. The taste is cherries, grain, slightly sour and earthy, with a hint of caramelized fruit. It’s light and has fairly good sweet bitter balance, with decent levels of both.

12 oz. bottle - $1.29 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish-brown body with a thin, whitish head. Smell: Faintly sweetish malt nose of nutty, caramel accents along with a light, fruity note of grenadine. Taste: Lightly nutty, lightly grainy maltiness with just a touch of dark caramel sweetness. Dash of club soda. Vague hint of cherry fruitiness. Spicy hops with a mild bitterness. Touch of acidity. Finishes dry and a bit fizzy. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-plus carbonation. Drinkability: Performs a bit under par, I must say, and in no way would it be, for me, a go-to brown.

12oz bottle from BevMo. Reddish brown with a quickly fading tan head. Dark malt and spicy hops in the nose. Same in the flavor. Raisin, apricot, & chocolate. Finishes smooth, flavor leaves you quickly. Its ok.
