Commercial Description:
Inspired by the revolutionary lagers of Munich, Pete’s Wicked Helles Lager perfectly balances malt sweetness with a clean hop finish.

I don’t like giving this "brewery" money. But this one really could be a lot worse. There’s actually some pretty decent clean malt here with a touch of hop flavor, but doesn’t dry out in quite the way that I like in a Helles. Aroma and palate rather unremarkable. Can’t say I hated it. Oh, but I do hate the label: the winged H (obviously some unfunny reference to its "angelic" qualities versus the ’devilishness’ of ’hell’-es), comes out looking like a logo for a Japanese motorcycle manufactured to appeal to those who can’t afford Harley Davidson.

Refreshing and insubstantial. A very light version of Dortmunder - some of the typical flavors are there, but a bit watered down. Why have this in Cleveland, when Great Lakes Dortmunder is available?

Not bad but I don’t like the helles style as much as some others.

This isn’t too bad. Tasted much less hoppy than a pilsner and had a little bit of backbone. A solid performer for a hot summer day.

Golden color with a decent white head. Sweet malt flavor but the hops come up a little "dry". Not bad for a lager but not great.

Poured a golden color, with a white head. Not a lot going on here, fairly light and mild tastes all around. Still, drinkable and better than the mass marked macro’s out there.

It didn’t smell like much. The taste was like a Sam Adams. Refreshing, but a fairly weak Dortmunder as these things go.

pronounced sweet malt flavor. little bit of spicy hops. decent lager - similar to sam adam’s / better than henry’s. good hot day beer. nice if your looking for something lighter.
