Commercial Description:
Inspired by the revolutionary lagers of Munich, Pete’s Wicked Helles Lager perfectly balances malt sweetness with a clean hop finish.

Dark straw color; Fluffly head; Nose was balrey perceptable. Coould use a better mouthfeel. Decent malt accents. Little hint of saaz.

I pretty much totally agree with Dogbrick on this one, except I really enjoyed it. I mean - yes, it is nowhere near Great Lakes dortmunder - but I would have it again. Quite tasty.

Nowhere near as good as the Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold, but not bad either. Clear gold color and minimal malty aroma. Rather thin with a clean aftertaste. Kind of underwhelming.

Sweet malt aroma gives away the plot in the opening seconds. Pretty clean, sweet and sugary for the most part although there is a subdued hop bite in the finish. Pretty pleasant overall and as summer brews go better than Pete’s Summer Brew.

Sparkling light golden amber with a mostly diminishing off-white rocky head. Very light nose - hints of spice, fruit, perfume, and earth. Balanced flavor - fruity and flowery. Average finish. Light to medium lively oily body. Finish feels slightly alcoholic. Highly quaffable.

There really isn’t much here to talk about. It reminds me of heineken (not skunked), but it is very malty. It’s an easy drink and I would buy it again.

Pleasantly surprising, with a solid, light malt component and a well-balanced bitterness. No real hop flavors or aromas, and the nose is just bland nothingness. Soft mouthfeel one can appreciate in a lighter lager. Light and pleasant, but unexciting.
