Commercial Description:
Inspired by the revolutionary lagers of Munich, Pete’s Wicked Helles Lager perfectly balances malt sweetness with a clean hop finish.

Why is this beer rated so low? Not a bad attempt at a helles for an American contract beer. I like the unique malty aroma of this lager. Good head on pour, but does not last. Better complex of malt fruitiness as it warms.

Golden with white head. Malt with a hint of hops. As noted by others, not a bad lager, but not really anything special.

Light golden color with a big white head. Medium carbonation. Nose smells very malty. Heavier mouthfeel than a typical Helles, which I liked. Taste is malty but balanced. This is a beer I would like to have available all the time for the BMC crowd that visits.

Clear golden bronze. Small sticky off white head. Cereal, grainy nose. Refreshing lager, but lacking in depth and flavor. Serve it ice cold I guess. Weird mealy, grainy gross finish. YUCK!

Drank this after a night at the bar, was not recommended by the bartendress. Not disappointed, just not particularly impressed. However, a good beer overall, just no stand-out characteristics.

Appearance: medum golden, darker than piss beer. Smell: yuck, kinda smells cheap. Taste: hmmm... tastes a bit cheap too, did they mix beer with Natty Light? Mouthfeel: not bad... the best thing about this beer It's drinkable, but not something I'd want to buy again. Hand me one free and I'll drink it.

Slightly orange to straw pour, with a quickly disappearing head leaving no lacing. An aroma of malt was present, but not overbearing. Slightly thin and watery, with a slight hops taste and sweetness that was plesant.

wow, pete's. i'm thrilled, really. So its golden, has a lager aroma to it, and tastes like overpriced bud. End of my story, peace out.
