Commercial Description:
Inspired by the revolutionary lagers of Munich, Pete’s Wicked Helles Lager perfectly balances malt sweetness with a clean hop finish.

This beer pours dark yellow with a small head and a hint of wheat in the aroma. The taste is very wheaty, much like lagers from Germany and the surrounding areas. Not bad, but not wonderful.

A bit darker than most Germanic lagers, good thick head on it. Well hopped and tasty but not as crisp and clean as the good German lagers (from Europe).

Decent crisp if not complex beer. Okay flavor color and aroma. Not terribly wonderful but a good all round brew.

OVerall good lager with a sweetness that finishes smooth... not as dark as other lagers.

Light color. A little bit of head, white. Fairly carbonated. Somewhat bitter, but also sweet. Not a very good combo. Had much better, had much worse.

Update: Too damn sweet! Like sugar water.

Original rating: More helles-like than I expected but still not much of a helles. Goldon color, thin head, spotty lacing. Somewhat malty aroma, a bit on the stale side. Similar flavor. Some faint bittering hops in the finish. In general, I would say this is too light in the flavor department. No evident corn/rice adjuncts but there is a strange metallic presence throughout.

Very good American attempt at a german classic. This beer is what you expect it to be. Nice bitterness, great mouth feel, goes down nice and smooth.

This stuff was bland bland bland. Very mild yeasty aroma, with close to no taste. Tried it once, but not again.
