| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 16, 2003 This is a german style lager. It's got a real german style taste, including the interesting licorice overtones. It's got a good aroma and a nice carbonation. The color is right-on for this style beer. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 5, 2003 Ok head initially. About the only thin g that I can taste is the malt. Light gold in color with good carbonation. Quite smooth and easy drinking though. Don’t really notice the hops to much in the finish but is slightly dry. An ok beer but nothing special. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 29, 2002 Updated: Jul 5, 2004The inital grab in the nose, that wispy carbonation right after opening, was spot on! I love rich pale malt and german hops, but I wasn't getting the feeling this was full-out quality. A little to sweet right away, perhaps, very bready, then gets sweeter yet. Still, not bad. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
