The last of Pete’s Brew I need to try, Hard to find, had it ordered special, Nice caramel and malt nose, rich and a little dry bitterness I like, a very decent beer.

I sorely miss this beer, the wonderful maple undertones and solid maple aftertaste made this a keeper.

Man I liked this beer. Unfortunately it’s one of the many styles Pete discontinued awhile back. Dark ruby red; plenty of roasted dark malt and luscious maple syrup aroma; thick off-white head with a full body; very rich and flavorful; the maple flavor is so well done here. Goodbye to one of Pete’s best.

Bottle bought in Massachusetts. Dark brown colour. Sweet aroma of raisins and well roasted malts. Flavour: smooth, sweet maple, quite a toasty maltiness, dryish finish. A great tasting different brewed porter, just so tastyindeed! Too bad its no longer brewed.

Bottled. Black with some creamy head. Aroma from chocolate, coffee, raisins and a bit nutty. Rather full and fresh. Nutty and (cigarette)-smoky flavour.

Old Undated notes: Brown and nice looking in my Sam Adams glass. Sweet and mapley with a lot of peppery notes and some earthiness.
