nice substantial tan head, toffee and nutty malt nose. Modestly complex flavor. Quite good.

I enjoyed this much better than the Samuel Adams Oktoberfest. Wish they could sell it year round

Pours a nice clear, dark copper color with small head. It has a good, strong malty aroma that is nutty and slightly fruity. Medium body with moderate carbonation, the flavor is malty up front with a slightly sweet finish that is slightly nutty and a little thin. An average Octoberfest, but pretty good for Pete's.

A average marzen. A amber/orange color with a slightly orange head. Mildly spicey. This is a good fall beer. Even better when on sale and it comes with a free glass.

2003 Batch:
Amber in colour with a large tan head of about four centimetres in height. Ruby highlights show when held up to the light, pretty nice! Malty aroma with some spices (nutmeg) thrown in the mix. Medium-bodied; Spicey flavour with malty characteristics and a mouthful that coats the inside of the mouth. A decent beer, pretty spot-on for the style, better than some others but not a great beer by any means. I bought a six pack of twelve ounce bottles at Top's in Rochester, New York.

Surprisingly not bad, considering my distaste for Pete’s products. Dark brown in color and translucent. Not overly hoppy, which is a very good thing. Little bit of spice and bite to it. Somewhat bitter too with a slight wheat taste to it. If you like Pete’s, you should love this.
