| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2006 Not a big fan of summer beers, but this one is palatable. Fruity, but not overpowering with hte lemon and a nice crispness to it. Thirst quencher. mojoman (44), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2006 I agree with some reviewers in that after letting the beer sit, the flavor got increasingly better, and fruitier. (And with all beers, they must be in a glass) Alot of folks do not like Pete’s but I find their beers to be above average, especially for the price. (6.50 for a sixer) The lemon does stand out a bit after a bit of time sitting. Maybe I enjoyed a tad bit more because it is 93 degrees in Nashville. MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA

The lemon flavor is very subtle at first but then it smacks you in thelips with force. A great brew for those days that get so hot you can’t stand it. Very refreshing. guzzler67 (1286), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2006 Clear, bright amber appearance, small head, slight lacing. Modest citrus fruit aroma with little depth. Bready malts, some fruit produce a mildly sweet taste. Light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Short lived, unspectacular finish. radagast83 (1315), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2006 Bottle. Typical golden ale aroma. But suprisingly good taste, at least for a Matt Brewing company beer, the company that could do so much better if they only tried a little harder. undsioux7 (561), Cologne, Minnesota, USA

There is a lemon aftertaste, but it is not a good one. I also had their wicked ale right before this one and that had the same crappy aftertaste which just made this one that much worse since they both ended up tasting almost the same.
Maybe they call this rally cap because it was sifted through a baseball cap before being filled in the bottle?
