| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2006 Poured an amber orange color (darker than I was expecting from a "blonde." The head was plain and not out of the ordinary. Slightly bitter flavor and light caramel present (again, is this really a blonde?). Impressive part about the flavor was a touch of citrus. As this beer warmed, it almost seemed to take on a slight Belgian character with some spicing (coriander?) coming out. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA

Wheaty nose with citrus, slightly hoppy, slightly lemony, biscuity finish, not bitter. Light, refreshing. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA

The aftertaste is lemon for certain, but my goodness! The sickly chemical lemon sweetness is absolutely horrible. Um, yeah, there was some little bit of lacing. Otherwise, this is possibly the worst bottle of ReaLemon flavored, over-sweet, glass full of awfulness that ever made its way into this guy’s tasting room. Here is the quote from the label, holy moly the total crapfest is manifested right here: "The key ingredient to a good summer is a GREAT Brew! Born to play, Pete’s Wicked Rally Cap Ale is crafted with a special blend of pale and wheat malts, Mt. Hood hops and a smack of natural lemon." That is a direct quote. And if you think that sounds good, I have to tell you--- the description is inaccurate. At least I get that full, pure lemony...oh I cannot even type that with a straight face. A pint glass full of suck is all this is, and I stand behind that assessment fully. argo0 (7011), Washington DC, USA

Aroma of pale malt, woody hopppiness and light lemony citrus. Some wheaty spiciness as well. Flavour is pretty clean, light malt and earthy/woody hops. Citrusy and bready finish. A few more hops and this would be a respectable sparking ale. Much better than I thought it would be and a refreshing summer beer.
