These golden blonde ale’s have yet to excite me, they taste and look way too much like a typical pale yellow american lager. Pop the lid on this 12 oz brown bottle and the aroma is a little better than most. It’s sorta fruity, honey, sweet and strong as if it’s gonna be a high alky brew. Color is pale yellow ubiquitous american lager. Interesting sourish flavor that is unique. I think I do taste the citrus that is touted in the description, gives it a flavor like a mild fruit beer. Some odd industrial bitterness tends to gather on the middle of the tongue. Probably one of the better tasting blondies I’ve had. Friendly and interesting to an extent. Only slightly better than Golden Anniversary, and Balantine xxx. Probably on par with H&H Whitetail Ale.

Bottle.. Pours a very light golden yellow with a thin head. Malty aroma, and a lot of malt in the flavor with not much dimension and it contained a soapy finish. It was kind of tough to finish it all that’s how bad it was.

I’ve tried this several times, and every time I try to keep an open mind in that perhaps it will be good. Why do I bother? Bottle pours straw-colored with a small head. Aroma of rancid lemon and dirty sponge, flavor very much the same. Ugh. Terrible.

Bottle. Pours a respectable lively gold, with a nice white head that sits about 2 fingers thick. Aroma is subtle lemon and a tinge of fresh-cut grass. Soured lemon and hops greet the tongue at the onset, followed by stale malt and a slight buttery taste. Watery mouthfeel. I’m guessing the home team lost...

Not that good at all. Poured pale yellow, with no real head. Kind of a bad lemon aftertaste.

It’s better than anything Miller, Bud or Coors has to offer. I’d drink it after mowing the lawn. Smooth taste, pale yellow color. Malty and lemony. Not the best I’ve had, not the worst

12 ounce bottle from the Woodmans on Gammon Road, Madison WI (December 2006) drunk from a Corsendonk Christmas Ale glass on December 28th in a hotel room in Ohio just out of the fridge. Umm, not sure what to say about this....it’s very clear and bright yellow with a bit of fizzy quick-dying head....odd aroma of lemon (spoiled though I think), honey, papaya (yuck) and just a bit of diacetyl perhaps.....the body tastes reasonably refreshing and lemony-zesty when very cold, but as it warms just a bit the thick, cloying papaya-melon-maple characteristics come in and it becomes clogged and gross....artificial-seeming strong carbonation isn’t enough to kill the mushiness and in fact adds an unpleasant metallic quality. Pretty close to atrocious.
