Narnad (167), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Aug 28, 2008 Overall a decent beer for a non-beer drinker to get started on. Pours golden with a decent head that dissipated pretty quickly. As soon as you open the bottle your hit with the Strawberry Lifesavers Cream Saver smell emanating out and gets even stronger when poured. Very slight malty taste, no hops and almost all cream saver strawberry flavoring. Glad I bought a single bottle of this at my local store. I could get a stomach ache from all of this sweetness.
xShanex (30), Mansfield, Texas, USA Dec 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden amber with little head. Smell is strong of strawberries. To my suprise, the taste is delightful. Strawberries stand out but do not leave a bad aftertaste. Easy to drink. I do agree with Butters, this is the best strawberry I have come across to date. Wonderful fruit beer. Have another? Yeah, and so will my lady... Butters (574), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Nov 20, 2008 Pours a clear light amber with fair off-white head. Aroma of fake strawberry cream. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. Best strawberry beer I’ve come across. Cool lable, not too expensive, easy drinking, chicks dig it. I’m down. RickS95 (32), Evansville, Indiana, USA Oct 28, 2008 I’ve been enjoying fruity wheat beers of late, but not this one.
Nice inch-thick white head. Color is that of apple cider, only clearer. I didn’t notice the strong fruit flavor like others have, just a hint in the nose for me.
Nondescript mouthfeel, like carbonated fruit juice, but this was the only place I noticed strawberries...not in the nose or the finish.
Marginal lacing. Bitter finish followed by a slightly sour taste.
Won’t have another one. ethomson (43), Huntington Beach, California, USA Oct 6, 2008 This is probably one of my favorite new beers in my recent discoveries. Picked up a six pack from the grocery store and i’m really glad I did. The aroma is a slight tingle of malt & hops and an overwhelming aroma of strawberry. It’s an amber color, with some mild gold to the pour. It’s not an overwhelming taste, and to be honest it is a tad watered down, but in my opinion has the perfect combination of malt, crispness and carbonation. You have to realize, this is a fruit beer, take that into consideration before you rate it. Pete’s did a splendid job with this one. Cybercat (470), Georgia, USA Oct 5, 2008 Aroma is strongly of strawberries - and I love strawberries. Color is a fairly typical clear amber, while head is quite thick and fluffy. Flavor is a bit thin and not exciting, but the strong strawberry undertone almost redeems it. Texture is smooth and has just a little pizzazz to it. Palatable, but not Pete’s best.
