Pours clear golden into the snifter glass with a very tiny head. The head quickly faded to leave a few carbonation bubbles at the top. The scent was very sour with hints of vinegar, sugar and malt. A very sour, carbonated bite up front with an acidic finish. Nice flavors of oak to compliment the sourness. An enjoyable sour ale.

Bottle known to be at least two years old, though exact age is uncertain. Clear golden with slight copper hints. Some white head, falling. Spicy oaky and acetic aroma, some sweat, some horse. Relatively clean flavor, somewhat sweet, slight tartness, slight acidity. Almost watery and quickly fading taste and palate.

11.2 fl oz picked up at Discount Liquors for a good price of 3.50, and although it sat in my cold car for a long time the quality did not seem to fade. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Sour nose. Wood, hay, horse blanket, a little sour cherries and lemons. Flavor is about the same. Oak, lemons, grapes, orange, hay, wood, hay and earthy. Flavors are a touch watery but balanced well with a dry and slightly acidic finish. Very satisfying when in the mood for a slightly sour and funky beer.

Golden pour with a creamy white head. Aromas of sour milk and yeast. Active carbonation on the palate. Flavors of unripe apples, sour orange, slight amount of vinegar. A bit straightforward, but very enjoyable. Excellent!

Dark golden body, beautiful white head; Quite deep almost cheap chardonnay like nose with tons of oak; Very sour but very simple, lots of lemon fruity acid; Medium long finish with lots of lemon fruity freshness, quite acidy, lots of oak aroma white wine barrel. Alright.

ZBF2008: From bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow with a lacing white head. Light acidic to citric aroma. Flavour is dry almost woody, acidic to light orange and citric fruity. Ends dry and light acidic.

Eerst even gekeken wat voor soort bier dit was en dan kun je de verrassing toch beter waarderen. Zurig ik moest toch denken aan de krieken.
