The flavor is quite sour and berry-like as well. Medium, quite astringent mouthfeel. Truly a lovely beer, that surprised a bit. (070914) thewolf (5828), Kolding, Denmark

Thought this was only available in the states, but Jos found it in Holland, and I in Belgium. Pours a very clear golden cobber-orange with a lot of bubbles. A small creamy white head on top that stays for quite some time and leaves great ’fat’ lacing. Aroma is funk, muskyness, barnyard, slight sour fruit as well as a clear sweet caramel background. Lively and slightly spritzy mouthfeel. Flavour is impressive, quite tart at first, very dry. A lot of caramel hidden behind the usual lambic flavours. Apples and oak appear as well. Wonderful beer to try! Snojerk321 (2021), San Diego, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Pours a clear dull yellow with a sizable egg-white head. Very sour aroma, cider-like. Flavour is dry and vinous, again, more cider than beer. Body is thin with subtle carb. What can I say... sours are not really my thing. Interesting to try, though. bobaidan (370), Farmington, Connecticut, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 20, 2007 Pours clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma is tart with a hint of apple. Mouth feel is very lively. Flavor is close to the aroma, with a nice tartness that is not overbearing. This may be the most dry tasting beer I’ve ever had, which is not a complaint. Finish is exceptionally clean leaving your tongue ready for another sip. brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2007 330ml bottle purchased at Falling Rock during GABF. Golden straw color with a light but big bubbled head. Delightfully sour aroma with a light fruitiness and wood. The flavor is sour but not overpoweringly so. There is mostly apple flavors mixed with what I suppose to be wood hints. Dry and very carbonated but in this case (likely due to how dry this was) I think the carbonation enhances this brew. An interesting experience but for 11 dollars a bottle, it is one that I will not repeat soon. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
