Glass:Goblet.
Appearance:Hazy gold/amber with a half finger of white head
Aroma:Sour apple, peaches, berries and sour cherries. Very tart. This might be my favorite sour aroma yet.
Flavor:Sweet cherries, sour apples and funky yeast. A slight metallic finish.
Palate:Medium/light body with solid carbonation.
Overall:The aroma is divine. The metallic bite was the only turn off, but it turned a potential 4.5 into a high 3.

Poured a hazy dark golden color with a thin white head. Fantastic aroma! Sour apple and peachy, funky yeast, and tons of tartness. Flavor also has a strong tart bite and was pretty fruity, but I liked it. Didn’t detect any oak flavors, though. Tingly mouthfeel. anders37 (4747), Malmö, Sweden

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy dark golden color and develops a fine, thinning white head. Enjoyable aroma that is fruity and tart. Notes of green apple, pear, wild yeast and biscuit. Nothing too complex however. Flavor is crisp and moderately sour, with tones of wheat, lemon citrus and old hops. First few sips were a bit metallic, which downgrades the experience. Overall, pretty good brew that finishes nice and crisp, with the oak aging barely noticeable. ChrisThomson (405), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Bottle. Not a big fan of sour ales. but not a bad beer for the style. Pours golden with an off white head. Hugely sour and yeasty flavour, a bit of citrus and mild hops in the finish. hombrepalo (777), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Pours clear golden with a well retained off white colored head. Very clear, which caught me a bit off guard. Aroma is moderately sour and fruity, apples and pears. Flavor is more sour than the aroma let on, but not overly so. Extremely refreshing and the finish is very fruity. SO good.... ditmier (1096), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 31, 2009 2009 Bottle - Pours dk gold with a large fluffly white head...aroma is full of pucker, lemon zest, oak, briny green olives and white wine vinegar...flavour is similarly tart, but also very thin...oak and lemon right up front, light vinegar, dry throughout and watery on the end...no alcohol presence is noticable...that was a strange one... | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 24, 2009 Very light, blonde with decent head and carbonation Smells of lemons and oak. Almost like a Chardonnay. Big lemon-sour taste up front, with a champaign-like finish. Delicious and refeshing on a hot summer day. This is really a wonderfully unique Belgian!
