Notes of baking sourdough bread, apples, toffee and citrus fruits on the nose. An explosion of flavor on the palate. Sour, dry, complex on the palate. Theres a lot going on there. Finishes of sour grapes. Very long. Excellent! beeranarchist (185), Aalborg, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 7, 2007 Golden color with a huge head. Smell of sour white grapes, oak, some hops and malt, dirt, lemons and spice. Taste of sour fruit, bubble gum, tartness, rust, oak/wood, hops and a very sweet/tart bitter aftertaste. I am starting to enjoy these Flemish sour ales! BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

The nose was nice citrusy sour that had a uniquness I can’t describe. Perhaps the oak? The body had a wonderfuly sour apple flaovr too it. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Pours a slightly hazy pissy golden lager color, with a huge rigid white head. Great lacing and head retention. Nose is that of a slightly sour brown sugar, as well as some acidic citrusy tang. Wow what an explosion of flavor. There is a slight hint of bubblrgum sweetness accentuated by a powerful sour edge. I love the balance on this beer, and will continue to return. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 24, 2007 A downright ugly pour. Dull yellow or dirty brass, thin head, slight leggy lace. Old urine nose. Sharp acidity, sour green apples, dry sherry, woody but more beech than oak. Some metallic notes and nutmeg-like sharpness. Not a lot of depth, as some other sour beers I’ve tried. Thin overall. I find their "Commercial Description" rather telling. Aurelius (2655), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 20, 2007 A tart, biotic, sweet fruit jam aroma. Fair label, cloudy oak beer with a thin lacing head. Sour and lambic-like. Indistinct sour fruits - sloes, plums, unripe cherries -- in the flavor profile. Not very sweet, not very bitter. Surprisingly easy to drink, given the sourness of the beer. Finishes out quickly, with a very muted sourness. For the style, I really liked it.
