Taste is light sour as well, finish is light bitter, but again more sour, without getting borred. You should really try this one, very special, nice beer. damienv10 (108), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 26, 2006 Hazy light golden straw with a minimal white head. Smells like sour grapefruit and horse manure. Strong sour flavor with a hint of cherries and more grapefruit, very similar to apple cider vinegar actually. Carbonation is light on the palate. Its ok, guess I’m just not a fan of sour Flemish ales. FROTHINGSLOSH (2010), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium golden color with a large white head. The aroma is sour and tangy with a noted vinegar element. The flavor is sour and tangy with a strong cider vinegar note. The finish is tangy and bitter. Far too much vinegar flavor in this one for my liking. ratman197 (3222), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 17, 2006 Bottle poured a hazy gold with a small, lasting white head. Aromas of vinegar, citrus, oak, and some mustiness. Palate was light bodied and tart. Flavors of citrus, vinegar and oak with a crisp, tart lingering finish. Pours a surprisingly pale yellow with a small head but considerable lacing. The aroma is dry vinegar with hints of mandarin orange and sweaty socks and sizzling bacon and a general sense to thai noodles; the flavor is sour, musty and laden with nickel; none of the sweet-and-sour sweetness of some Flemish sours here, but rather the wilder taste of a gueuze. The palate is a bit on the thin side, though lively in carbonation.
This one is interesting but doesn’t come close to my favorite sour ales.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 16, 2006 Very yeasty and very tart - nearly as sour as a lambic, which I don’t really care for. Slight woodiness, and slighlty vanilla and heather notes in the aroma. Its more difficult to define the essence of the flavor because it is so tart. Even refreshing, I’ll prefer this one with some mild or stinky cheese, but on its own, its not my thing. notalush (2668), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 16, 2006 Clear golden with moderate lace - citrus, oak, flowers in the aroma - bracingly tart up front, with a crisp mouthfeel - quite light in flavor, with some citrus/acidity - a background, lambic-like cheesiness - clean, dry finish - an interesting beer, but I think I prefer the brown sour ales. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2006 Bottled: Clear yellow appearance. Some red tones. Quite acidic and very refreshing. A really good beer. Seems a bit fresher than most other Flemish Sour Ales because it’s more bright, dry and fresh.
