Sour, yeasty aroma with some alcohol creeping in. Aroma of dried flowers, vinegar, slight barnyard, slight butterscotch. Flavorful! Mmm... Slight butterscotch again, with a very nice sour apple finish... tiny hints of a vinegar in there- but not a disturbing amount. I enjoy this one quite a bit... I’d have to be in the mood to drink it- but I’m sure I’ll revisit this one in the near future. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2005 Typical Belgium fermation of fruit I have known to detect in Belgium beer. Has a sour nose also. Cloudy yellow body with white head. Sour flavor is robust at first. Sourness subsides as the beer warms and makes a good sipping beer. Mild sour palate. Purchased by my wife as an early Christmas present. Six different Petrus beers in this gift pack. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Amber color with thin head. Odd color for a Femish Sour. Sour cherry aroma. Dry wheat is the primary flavor that smacks you in the face. The sour cherry fades away fast. Not much malt. Seems kind of weak. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2005 Poured hazy amber with a thick tan head. Good thickness in the head. Aroma had red wine, vinegar, sour cherry and butterscotch. Taste was bitter at first but smoothed out quickly. Silphium (2155), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2005 Hazy amber body, medium clumping off-white head. Strange aroma, toasty, with toffee and hints of butterscotch, in addition to musty funkiness (a bit of brie cheese rind, sour) that develops more fully after letting the beer settle in the glass. Sour body with stale crackers, bread, and grassy hops, the sour punch concealing a rather thin malt backdrop. Some balsamic vinegar and cheese rind in the mix, which is never a bad thing. A bit different than the darker, fruitier "red" versions of the style, but this has just the right kick for me.
