| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2005 Bottle. Golden, clear, nice white head. Acidic fruity nose, like a Rodenbach GC or Panil. Malty acidic flavors. Wood. Lingering acidity. Not too overpowering, but pleasant. Not very heavy on the palate. Almost reminds me of a Berliner Kindle Weiss. This is in fact, refreshing. eleusis (70), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 28, 2005 I really like this beer. The acid puckered my lips at first, I was little overwhelmed. But as the palate adjusts, this is as crisp and refreshing as a beer can be. Clean as all get-out on the way down, and yet still complex. Difficult to describe the flavor... I will be buying this again and again though. Petrus has impressed me heavily with their tripel and now this. diabel (1372), Aarschot, Belgium
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 14, 2005 Bottled A clear, lightly amber body, with an off-white frothy head. The aroma is overwhelming. When you remove the cap, the aroma fills the air and makes you happy. And by sniffing the glass, odours of wine, white port, citric hops welcome you and beg you to drink the beer. Heavily sour, light bitter initial flavour. Moderately sour, lightly bitter finish. Very well-balanced beer, despite a very lightly watery flavour. Fizzy carbonation. Medium bodied. This is a very good example of the flemish sour style. I find it a pity Bavik doesn’t sell this in Belgium. If Rodenbach can sell Rodenbach Grand Cru in Belgium quite well, Bavik certainly can sell this one as good as Rodenbach can sell the Grand Cru. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada
