Aug 1, 2005 Pours hazy orange golden and a thin snow white head. Vinous vinegar aroma with woody tones and a sweet candied fruity middle. Tart geuze-like flavor but with a more hoppy/fruity note. Acidid and woody and very vinous, almost like an unripe white wine. Very interesting, but doesn’t have the complexity of the dark flemish sour ales that I adore.

Jul 29, 2005 Sour orange and citrusy wine aromas. Nearly a half inch of white head gives way to lacing on this golden clear beer. Big flavors follow big aromas, with a souring lemon-pine green apple flavors. Not too tart compared to Rodenbach and Duchesse, so very drinkable and neutral in body. A good sipper with much to recommend it.

Jul 7, 2005 Wow! This only gets a 3.68? Huge sour/tart aroma makes your lips pucker without a taste. Great sour/tart lemon flavor, has a little mustiness to it. Finish leaves you begging for more. Perfect hot summer day beer.

Jun 19, 2005 Bottle: Excellent aroma. Loaded with sour and tart fruit (lemon and light cherry) and lightly vinuous. Pours a mostly transparent golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a ring. Very lambic-like only with more carbonation. Very sour and tart (lemony and some sour apple) with a some acidity and woodiness in the finish. Had absolutely no idea this was a Flemish Sour when I bought this. What a great suprise!

Jun 10, 2005 Updated: Dec 23, 2007Coming back to these beers after a few years. Pours crystal clear golden with a large head that sticks around. Aroma is what I like, Flanders sour - medium strength. The problem is it’s just thats and not backed up by anything else. I like it but man, throw in some malt sweetness. Some sour lemon in the "lager sitting out too long" kind of way. Just souring a regular old blonde ale.

Jun 7, 2005 Light gold, thin head, aroma did not entice me. Thin bodied, the tart fruitiness overwhelms a light spice attempt... just much to sour for my taste, could not finish.
