Crisp aftertaste with plenty of sourness with flavors of chocolate, roast, bread and a little woodiness for good measure. I also caught the sour-apple flavor that other ratings were finding with this Sour Ale. pintbypint (1028), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Aroma initially presents a sour note, deeper sniffing revels some woody notes. Flavour is dry malt, has a lemony sour tinge throughout, tangy, wood/oaky. Dry and tangy finish. Strong carbonation, medium body. Refreshing, very drinkable, solid sour ale. I wasn’t expecting much but this is definately the best offering from the Petrus range. Pours a deep dark slightly hazy golden color with a small off white head that forms a ring around the edge of my glass. This one has a lemony tart barnyard funky nose. Hint of oak and lactic acid. Taste is a bit sharp at first with vinegar notes that mellows into tart apple notes and oak. Nice sour. mike1977ok (648), Netherlands

Aroma of light alcohol, biscuity pale malts, light musty notes, touch of fruit. Flavour is on the sour side, mild fruit, notes of tart green apple, pale malt base. Average palate is smooth and light on the tongue. Interesting. Refreshing. Not sure if it started out this sour but it is not unpleasant.
