Bottle. Golden, clear, nice white head. Acidic fruity nose, like a Rodenbach GC or Panil. Malty acidic flavors. Wood. Lingering acidity. Not too overpowering, but pleasant. Not very heavy on the palate. Almost reminds me of a Berliner Kindle Weiss. This is in fact, refreshing.

First off, this is no oud bruin, look at it, its yellow for God’s sake! The beer is a beautiful pale yellow and looks like a gueuze. It smells quite enticingly sour, a little brett funkiness and a little cereal? The flavor is nice and sour but not abrasive. tart and lemony this is a good sour and I can’t believe I’ve passed it up so many times in the past. the price wasn’t too bad for a sour at $5 for a 330ml. 330ml bottle from 16th St Liquor in West Vancouver. Poured a clear gold with a thin white head and moderate lacing. Malty and acidic up front with a floral hop character and a barnyard finish. More subtle flavors can be detected but are very soft; vanilla, lemon, and green apple. Finish is well balanced between a malty sweetness and acetic acid.

Dark yellow and hazy. Has a white head, lacing, mostly diminishing. Sour aroma, sweet and fruity too, faint acetic, pure acid. Flavor start harsh acidic, then crisp and light sweet. Dry texture.

Well hidden alcohol - sour and slightly vinegary, but not in an overpowering way - really in a very refreshing way - oakiness comes through, but still very light. Excellent.

You notice the aroma before the color as it explodes out of the bottle. Color is clear honeycomb and a plush, white pillow head looks nice but is gone too quickly. The oak is amazing on the nose. Bright citrus, this is very difficult to describe....but I like it! Full mouthfeel - the oak aging gives it some nice sour aspects. Complex, yet structured, taste with a chewy yeast throughout the palate. Difficult to describe...yet so tasty. Mouth
