Pours a dark cloudy brown with a tan head that doesn’t stay around long. Molasses nose. Flavor has a strong hint of molasses and a slight bit of caramel as well with a steady and even flavor. Slight touch of malt. Feel is slightly higher than average on the carbonation, and it feels very good with the combo of flavoring against it. Very drinkable. Another from this 6-pack I could down many of in a sitting.

clear dark brown with ruby edges, pours with a big tan head the settles into a thin fine tan head leaving some nice lace behind, rich chocolate and ripe fruit aroma with a hint of sweetness, creamy body, very rich malt flavor, nice chocolate well blended with a touch of ripe fruit, very light sweetness, no hops or bitterness, very drinkable and could become a great session Belgian

Draught: Aroma of malts, nuts, chocolate, and piney hops. Poured dark brown in color with a medium sized, light brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Very good lacing. Opaque. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet. Tastes of malts, chocolate, and raisins. Medium to full body. Thick, dry texture. Soft carbonation. Malt-sweet finish.

8/29/07 bottle - Dark brown with a foamy head that dies down. Very sweet almost musty flavor, with a strong aftertaste. Not bitter at all. Not what I was expecting but not bad at all. I didnt expect more fruit based on the other reviews, will give it another go some time.

beer poured a mahogany red in color with a huge burst of carbination on the pour leaving a three finger head that settled down to a nice thin layer with tons of bubbles. smell is plumbs, dark fruit, malts, and some Belgian spice perhaps from the yeast. taste is powered over the tongue from the carbination with plumbs and dark fruits, a little sweetness, good spices, little funky sour, and very smooth on the tongue. the beer overall is pleasant to drink, has a good body, flavorful but not over the top.

Despite the lukewarm reviews here, this is a great beer. Nice and rich. Heavy malt. I’ve only had the chance to buy it in Belgium. In Michigan, we didn’t get it. And in Missouri, don’t hold your breath.

Caramel notes. Dark brown body. Strong taste with the 6.5% ABV not masking itself in anyway. Goes down smooth but has a harsh aftertaste. Reddish color.

Ruby red colour with a foamy beige head. Aroma is fruity, musty, and alcohol. Flavors are strong and fruity with dried stone fruit and brownsugar. Finish is long and fruity. Solid brew.
