This is one of those beers that you see weekly and suspect you’ve already tried it - but you haven’t. Wow, this is my 2817th rating - its been a while my friend. Pours a cloudy deep copper/ orange with a nice off white head. Spiced nose, mild caramel with with yeasty overtones. Slight toasted flavor with a nutty malt mid-palate, and a fruity slide in the finish. Too sweet for my palate. GG (1645), NorCal, California, USA

Pours out a dark copper-brownish hue with a nice off-white two finger head. Aroma is a little too subdued for my liking but there was some caramel, brown sugar and a little phenolic. Flavor is mostly sweet caramel malts, which I love. Malts were also slight nutty with some earthy character shining thru. A really nice beer. If the nose was a little stronger, it would get higher marks. Still, a fine beer. bierkoning (6071), La Tropica, Netherlands

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Dark red/brown with a huge, long-lasting, rocky tan head. Nose is a bit unpleasant--bitter, with a slightly medicinal note; some sweet chocolate notes in there as well. Flavor is surprisingly sweet, with some caramel, cocoa, and berry. Light bitterness. Very nice, creamy mouthfeel. Palidor19 (1780), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 10, 2007 While this beer definitely has a strong, look, feel and over all presence. It falls flat on a few essential notes that makes truly excellent. Its taste and mouth my has a light syrupy taste with deep caramel, dark fruit and rich malts. But there is an astringent after taste that makes it very unpleasant at the end. Still you should all go and try this beer. Maria (6286), Thisted, Denmark
