Those Belgians know their beer! Holy crap how did I pass this one up?! Dark red/brown pour with no real head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is caramel when it first hits the tongue. After that there is a free for all between chewy malt and slight hops with the malt reigning supreme.

shared 11.2 oz bottle. Deep cloudy amber in color. Aroma is very malty, caramel, raisins. Taste is caramel, raisins, some burnt sugar, very sweet with alot of residual sugar. a bit cloying for me.

11.2oz, no date. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a two finger beige head. Aroma of powdered brown sugar (this makes sense), raisins, prunes, some toffee and a bit of cola. Flavor is oxidized, but doesn’t seem to make the beer too bad. A little too sweet for me, little bitterness noted, dry finish. Watery body, moderate to high carbonation. Not too great.

Dark sugary, fruit cakey aroma -- raisins and dates. Kinda sweet and boring. Lightly bittered, a little under carbonated. Brown sugar, light molasses, somewhat watery. Clingy sugar finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Full sweet body. The malt is the focus of this beer, with nuts, figs and caramel showing through.

12-oz., courtesy the kind hospitality of BitBucket, jr. Big yeasty candi sugar nose on a deep cloudy coppery medium amber pour with a sudsy white head. Big fruity yeasty sugary mid-palate and a clingy sweet finish. A little on the sweet side; made lovingly and well if not from an inspired recipe.

Dark but translusent brown in colour. IT’s aroma is slightly roasted. Nice flavour.

Incedibly dark brown, nearly black, color with a thin head. Slightly roasted aroma with a lot of caramel and molasses. The caramel comes out nicely in the flavor with a moderately rich maltiness. Not fancy, but a solid Dubbel.
