Pours a deep brown with Ruby highlights topped by a lacy minimalist head. Aroma is caramel, coffee and chocolate with a character that is not unlike Rochefort 8. The body is med with lite CO2. The flavors are medicinal, kahlua, sweet cherries and caramel. Some drying coffee-like bitterness in the finish. A very unique and enjoyable dubbel.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear reddish mahogany with a tall, dense, beige head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and burned caramel. Medium body with very sweet roasted malt and brown sugar or burned caramel. Subdued bitterness. 221106

Isn’t this a dobbelbock? Very sweet, nice full taste. Yet no noticable banana or melon tones. I really don’t care about the label here. For some time I thought this was bottled for finnish liqueor store Alko because of the cheap looks, but it seems to be quite big in Belgium and France.

Bottle at home. Maybe my bottle was off? I thought it was way too sweet with very little taste. Very hoppy and not good enough to even finish. (I notice that a lot of reviewers are giving it 3.4’s and saying it misses the mark -- strange.)

Aroma of raisins, caramel and chocolate malts, some red fruits. Hazy, very dark brown coloured with a brown, medium head. Taste is quite sweet, chocolate and caramel malty, raisins in it, some rye and red fruits. Slightly carbonated finish. Bit sticky and well-bodied. This brew has much potential. It is however way to sweet.

Bottle. Poured cloudy brown color with an average off-white fizzy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet balanced aroma. Medium body. Medium sweet balanced flavor with a medium biitersweet finish of moderate duration.

Nothing special with this one... the theme is unbalanced overall. Awkward blend of numerous tastes that add up to a weird sweetness with undeniable caramel tone. Wish I could distinguish more, but it ends here.

(Bottle at Monks Café, Stockholm) Pours dark red/brown. Buttery, shugary aroma with some unripe berries. Sugary, alcohol flavour with a medium body. Unbalaced.
