I got a bottle as part of a Petrus sampler pack. The body is a very dark ruddy and thick brown. The head is light tan and long lasting. The aroma has some fresh dough with corn syrup. There is also a little bit of caramel. The taste is sweet toffee with some light coffee in the finish. There is also some bubblegum in the mouth after drinking a little. A decent brew, but a little sweet for me. I am obviously missing something that others liked.

A Mes rate: Tap at Beer Weekend Brussels. Sweet fruity aroma with hints of toffee. Red-brown body with a good tan head, bubbly but well behaved. Flavour is just like the nose with a bitter coffee finish. Great palate. A good beer.

Pours dark nutty brown with big lacing off-white and creamy head. Aroma is sweet, lots of caramel, plums and fruity yeast. Very smooth mouthfeel, very sweet, LOTS of caramel, slightly vinious.

Bottled. Pours a very dark brown/ruby color. Aroma is roasted malts along with a sort of candied dark fruit scent. Very sweet right up front. A hint of yeast along with some sweet fruitiness. Rich tasting brew.

Pours a cloudy deep copper/ orange with a nice off white head. Spicy yeasty aroma with some fruity esters and lightly sweet caramel malts. Lightly toasty flavor, some nuttiness, more fruit and an earthy hoppy flavor as well. A bit too sweet in the middle and almost became cloying. Other than that, this was ok.

On tap. Color is red orange brown with cream head. Aroma is fruity, musty, and alcohol. Taste is caramel, vanilla, pear, malt, and brown sugar. A bit too sweet for me.
