Pours an off-white head and dark brown body with copper highlights. Smells of malt, roast, and light dried fruit. Tastes of toast, golden raisin, and a little sour. Finish is smooth, brown sugar, and black tea. Lingers.

Slight gusher, just a small puddle on the desk. Dark umber color with a quickly diminished head, with only a small ring around the glass and a few bubbles in the center. Soft spice and ester aromas. Some caramel and hints of herbal hops as well. Caramel, brown sugar and sorghum flavors abound. Light spice of allspice present. Fairly thick feel, but enough zip to keep it from getting cloying. Dried grains and wood in the finish and linger.

Pours a very dark red with an impressive tall frothy beige foam on top. Overripe fruity aroma, oxidized malts, a bit grainy, some red fruits. Velvety first taste, very smooth and creamy, berries, oxidized malts, rich, lightly tart and sour, raspberries and cream, unique. Medium body, very soft fine carbonation, slightly creamy.

Dark brown color with a thick beige head. Laces evenly. Slightly sour nose with some toffee aromas as well. Taste similar -- mildly sour with toffee and caramelized sugar. Medium body. I like it and would recommend this beer to someone who is just getting into sour ales.

Medium bodied, Belgian Ale with a blend of caramel, toffee, vanilla and light sweetness. I liked this recipe, just not sure if its a knock-off or a stand alone recipe.

Pours a cola color with a creamy, tan head. The aroma could fill a room with its sour, barrel-aged, vinous quality complemented by bourbon, slight fusel and vinegar. Has a remotely tart flavor dominated by unpleasantly stale vinegar. A reasonable caramel malt backbone is detectable. No date on bottle. Sticky, sweet, and disgusting. Not recommended.

Pours a deep reddish brown with a thick, pillowy, light tan head. Smells almost a bit sour! Sweet malts and ripe dark fruits, with quite a strong cherry note and a bit of oak. Flavor didn’t quite pull through - it was a little too sweet. This would have been fantastic if that sour note from the aroma had come through - but it didn’t. It’s brown sugar, ripe fruits, still some cherry... but I wish it had more to it. Great dessert option, though - this has a wonderfully smooth, creamy (yet slightly sparkly) mouthfeel.

This just didn’t hit me right. It might have actually been an old bottle; I should definitely try it again. The aroma was excellent and it poured a nice reddish brown with a rocky tan head. The flavor was sour (and not in a good way) and the palate was really like cola. Sour cola, hmmm....
